Plus the $12.00 appl. fee.

(Why do ya think I'm 'PleaseDear' haha)

Jezzzzus... Thats almost extortion! Why would they raise them so high that they only get half the aplicants? Wouldn't it make more sence to keep them lower, hence getting more applications and more money? I think the game departments are going to price themselves right out of business. Next thing you know the sheep tags will be $10,000 and thier will only be as many applicants as tags... I love hunting just as much as everyone, but I would have to take out a second mortgage just to apply for tags...

$472 for a frickn antelope, what are they thinking???

$2100 for Bison, thats insane. The tags cost way more than the hunt would. Thats just wrong...

Supply and demand. But this is the year to put in since odds will go down.

One reason I moved to WY.

Odds will go up, is what I think you meant, Kilbuc? Yep, we saw it in CO, here a few years ago. Alot of whiners stayed home cause of the price increase. Me, I'm giving up other expensive endeavors to concentrate my time and efforts on my passion!!!

Wyoming, here we come. And you better frikin draw us next year too!!!LOL

OSOK,

You are right, my brain was/is not right. Thinking about Texas whitetails.

I wouldn't mind the Special Antelope fee in a couple of the Sweetwater County units. If things fell in place you certainly could get a Booner.......and for that fee, that really aint to dang bad with about 90% public ground to hunt in/on.

Other states will follow suit, and soon freelance hunting will be nothing more than a rich mans sport. I guess that's just the facts of life.

And Wyoming would be a great state to live in, IF I COULD FIND A FREAKIN' JOB THERE!

Hunting prices have gone through the roof since the eighties!
However it does seperate the so-so guys from the hard core addicts!
