Wyo Elk Archery ?'s

So I am looking/hoping to draw elk in wyoming, I am from Utah. I hope to draw hand full of units which I am deciding on. My question is, If I draw a Unit can I buy the archery permit to archery hunt there?

Also, is there anyone that is willing to share a good unit to hunt? I have my few I am looking at, but odds with 6 points are not great. I am hoping for a 320 class bull or better. And yes I have looked at the magazines. I am not sure how much to trust those all the time. If nothing else, just help me with the 1st question.

In the majority of units YES you can buy the archery stamp.

If you're 1 PP from max like you stated, there are all kinds of good elk units you could draw and that have archery seasons before the rifle ones.

My oldest boy is in the same boat, 1 point back from max.
He's wanting to do it archery, I've been studying hard!

Were looking at doing unit 38 or 39 , Type 9 permit next year.

Our 2013 schedule is looking full , so were thinking 2014 to
allow plenty of time (2 weeks) to do the hunt..

Goofy, I was thinking just the opposite. You apply and let me know how it was!
