I think I need to maybe clarify something about Wyoming BHA is a state chapter, the national organization is Backcountry Hunters & Anglers we have established chapters in 16 states and 2 Canadian providences. The reason it's broken down to the state level is it's easier to stay in touch with local issue from within the state rather than from a far.
None of the Wyoming board gets any compensation period, it is 100% volunteer efforts.
Also every penny that we have raised to date has only been used to reclaim illegal user created roads, habitat restoration, and all future projects are specifically to rehab/better are public lands.
Never has there been a dollar spent or is there intent to push an agenda that specifically would only benefit Residents only, Wyoming BHA wants public land accessible and in pristine condition for everyone to use.
The reason we did reach out in opposition of the bill that would have made 60% of NR tags special is that we felt that the average hunter was getting priced out and that is something we don't want to see ever.
