The request for injunction was filed by The Alliance for the Wild Rockies, headquartered down the road from me in San Francisco North, or better known as Missoula, Montana. "We think if we don't get an injunction, the wolf population in the Rockies will be decimated." That't a quote from the executive director, Mike Garrity. mtmuley

ill do the best i can

In a perverse and tragic way their attempt to stagnate hunting by way of the ESA has created more hunting opportunities and an enthusiastic crowd of hunters. These elements are the worst case scenario for the anti-human crowd.

Save our wildlife, kill a wolf.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-14-11 AT 04:42PM (MST)[p]So, to be clear, there is no injunction, there is no relisting of wolves. They have filed a lawsuit to TRY and get an injuction. Hopefully it will be more of an uphill battle with the latest ruling.

That is a no brainer. They will be filing appeals till the cows come home.

venor, ergo sum (I hunt, therefore I am)

D13er you are correct they won't quit. I just found out the the center fro biological diversity is out of my home state MN. I think I need to start hunting in wolf country there and invite them with. I would bring them ask them to find a wolf and show me how nice they are if you just approach them slowly. I might just have to forget that I had them come along and leave them out with there so nice and cuddly wolves. Then remember them two weeks later when I get to go back into the woods.

txhunter58 you are correct also I should have worded that better. I was in a hurry to notify people.

How To Hunt Coues Deer

My guess is that we will obviously keep hearing from these loonies, but unless they pay a Judge under the table they should not get any more favorable rulings. As long as the various state F&G Departments handle the seasons properly and can show the numbers are still well above what is needed in all areas to keep them delisted I think the excess wolves will be wacked. However, knowledgeable folks say that hunting won't be enough, so we shall see what transpires over the next few years if the hunts are allowed.
