I know we have all herd what people are saying the past few years here in Utah about the wolf and how they are spreading.

Well, they have come to utah and are spreading fast. I herd from a reliable source that there are now 19 confirmed wolves in Diamond Fork area, and to make things worse, they have crossed highway 6 and have been evidence of wolves on the Manti unit on the North End.

This really sucks!!!

Since there has not been any official word yet, there needs to be a cyote hunt in these areas realllllllly bad!!!

This Ain't New News!

Been a few around for quite some time!

Kill every F'N Wolf!

But don't harm the Flyin Wolves!:D

Wisz was a Hell of a Sport this year even if He did tell the UDWR to F-Off during the Phone Call!:D

Your right, I was talking to the DWR Monday while they were
doing their fawn survival study on the NW Manti when news
came in of a wolf in that area.......

Then Wednesday I was in Rays valley, In between 5th and 6th
Water and there were a TONs of large 'canine' tracks..

Took this picture,,,next to an -06 shell..

Spent all day looking at 3 day old snow for elk tracks,
Cut 4 sets, all believe to be bulls, the f'n elk are GONE
in the Diamond fork area. I'm sure that's why the 'dogs' are
moving south...

Here's my understanding of this situation through law enforcement.

This group of "large canines" have been determined to be hybrids
at this point. Two of these "dogs" have been found dead, skull's
were recovered and sent for evaluation and DNA testing.....
This should 100% provide proof positive results what they are,
Hybrid or the Yellowstone breed.....

I DO KNOW THIS MUCH, what ever they are, their killing deer
and elk. Wednesday we found were they had killed a deer in the
past 24 hours and left almost nothing behind but the legs.

I also know this for sure, since 2009 this elk heard has changed
dramatically. I've been watching them in this area since the 70's.

Now all that remain in the Diamond fork unit are a few wintering
bulls....Just ask the cow hunters , Very ,very few cows remain.
There is a second antler less cow elk season opening in a week.
And the snow is falling, we'll see how that gos, if any move in.
Last year a few did, 30 to 40 head. that was it...
In previous years 1995 to 08, there was about 400 that wintered
there.

As of the last month or so there has only been 5 confirmed wolves in the Diamond Fork, Sheep Creek area. Two of those are now dead. The last one found shot in Tie Fork. They have the features of a hybred but no DNA results have come back yet. There are a lot of quote: sightings: but not confirmed.
My opinion of the elk in Diamond Fork is that for the past so many years they have been shot up so bad on the late hunts that they have moved to new grounds.

That is a wolf track. It has been confirmed by the DWR. There is a wolf pack right there.

As of the 6th of December 2012 there has not been a confirmed pack of wolves in Utah. There was a pack of wolves or hybrids that have been roaming in the Sheep Creek Diamond Fork area but what they are has not been comfirmed. There were 5 last fall and now they have two dead ones that have been sent in for DNA determination. If the DNA comes back with Yellowstone in the DNA then they will be captured and returned. If the DNA has nothing to do with Yellowstone group then they will be destroyed. This information came at the last Wildlife Board Meeting. Still lots of questions and lots of rumors around.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-19-12 AT 12:06PM (MST)[p]ODFW never "confirmed" our wolves either, till they were forced to, then all of a sudden they "confirmed" a shiit load.

They lie.

"That is a strange looking -06 shell in post #2
Looks like a different caliber???"

Now that I look at it closely after seeing your post, it does look a little short and fat for a 30-06!

There hybrids, and lets leave it at that, lets not get everybody thinking theres endangered species running around in our mountains,

So dont be scared to shoot these hybrid domestic dogs

Not my shell , There were 3 guys there that were hunting cow
elk while we were looking at the tracks, I took the picture
when one of them laid a shell down to compare size.....

Thought he said 06 or 6mm, not sure now, is it really that big
of a deal?
