LAST EDITED ON Dec-20-19 AT 11:38AM (MST)[p]Dear Member,

We are emailing you to let you know about legislation that is being
introduced to delist gray wolves at the federal level in the lower 48
states. If passed, this legislation will make wolf delisting law and
also protect it from litigation by activist groups. This will give
states the authority to manage their own wolf and big game populations
in the best way possible.

We want to thank Senator Mike Lee of Utah and the cosponsors of this
bill (American Wild Game and Livestock Protection Act) for their great
leadership in this important issue. They recognize how important this
issue is to our communities and way of life. Please take a moment to
make your voice heard. Let your leaders know you support this
legislation using our automated system. Just click the button below.
Lets get this done!

Senator Lee's one pager seems to think the law can exempt the action from judicial review, but I think the courts may disagree with this one pager on their ability to do so.

One advantage of removing them as an endangered or threatened species is the law suits will not be able to assert the ESA anymore. That is a big thing.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-20-19 AT 08:27PM (MST)[p]Any idea why this wasn't done when Republicans had the House and Senate for the first two years of the Trump Administration? This will never be passed today, it's merely another PR/fundraising email by BGF.

It's too bad they waited, but I fear this door has closed for the foreseeable future.

Grizzy as slow as the government is, hopefully it comes up a year from now for voting and Trump hopefully has both houses with majority GOP.

Maybe it'll work out that way. I'm constantly frustrated that virtually nothing beneficial got done legislatively during the first two years of Trump's term. He passed almost nothing noteworthy during the time he had a political mandate and both sides of the Capitol building in his pocket except adding trillions to the national debt. Sorry to distract from the OP. I'll get off my soapbox...

Back to wolves and the need to get them hunted.
