Apparently the Outdoor Channel is showing a program this evening (Tuesday Oct. 22, 2013) at 9:30 P.M. Mountain Time) regarding wolves and what the politicians are doing or not doing regarding this issue.

I haven't seen nor do I know of the content but apparently these articles have stimulated or motivated the show. I haven't read them myself so I can't say if they are for, against, viable or pure bull. I just now got the information and wanted to get it out so if anyone was interested they may want to tune in at 9:30 tonight.

Tonight on Outdoor Channel, sportsmen we'll take you to the halls of Congress so you can see what our nation?s leaders are doing to ensure state?s have management authority over wolves.

Extreme animal rights activists see unmanaged wolves as a means to a broader agenda. Is there a broader agenda? Not only decreasing opportunity for sportsmen, but closing of public land hunting units, ending public land grazing and ultimately the ?re-wildling? of America. Our goal is simple: we want to protect wild game, our outdoor heritage and the right of states to address concerns when they arise.

Quote: ?the Grand Canyon ecoregion is one of the best places for wolves in the lower 48 states (Sneed 2001; Carroll et al. 2003; Carroll et al. 2006). Wolves dispersing from the Blue Range Wolf Recovery Area could reach the canyon region, but relocations of wolves would greatly accelerate expansion into the area?Other promising recovery sites include northern New Mexico and southern Colorado and Utah. Additional areas, in west Texas??

How these plans extend beyond wolf expansion:?
(1) The aggressive wolf expansion plans now include the Southern Rockies (Colorado, Utah) , Pacific Northwest (Washington State, Oregon, California), The Southwest (Arizona, New Mexico, Texas), and Northeast (Maine, New York, New England). ?
(2) The stated goal is to decrease wild game populations
(3) They hope to stop professional wolf control activities.
(4) They advocate for wolf transplants.
(5) No state management to protect wildlife using federal mandates. ?
(6) They want to repeat the impacts to wildlife experienced in the Northern Rockies.
