A magnitude 4.5 earthquake shook the Geysers early Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake began at 2:23 a.m. There were no reports of injuries or damages to power plants or buildings, a dispatcher from Redwood Empire Dispatch Communications Authority said.

The epicenter was about 3 miles east of The Geysers and 3 miles southwest of Cobb in Lake County, the USGS said. It was 1.2 miles deep.

Earthquakes are common in the seismically active area about 24 miles north of Santa Rosa.
