I'm from Montana and in todays paper there is an article about how some shed poachers were caught. The fish and game stated that these poachers probably took over 50% of the antlers off the refuge. I just thought i'd share this with everyone to vent some of my frustration. It takes a low life loser to sneak onto a wildlife management area and basically steal horns, not to mention that this year was a bad winter causing enough stress on the elk as it is. I will still be heading there for the opener on May 15th but it simply won't be the same knowing the horns are missing. I doubt it will happen but i know one of the big dogs in the MT fish and game and i'm going to give him a call and see if he will scatter the antlers before the opener, since they are basically stolen property of the managment area. Find the horn Goose!
