In my neck of the woods Its been a mild winter, the past few days were in the -20 to -30 range at night, but today got up to 20 something. We generally wont see a big winter kill unless we get a heavey wet snow with cold temps that follows for a while in late march, april or may.
Depends on where you are. North of Laramie I had -37 air temp the other morning. That can't be good for critters. Luckily, the temps are coming back up. Only time will tell . . .
