Just figured folks would want to know how the deer are faring E. of the Cascades right now. Really good!! Went shed hunting at one of the hunting haunts this weekend and found no horn, but saw more deer than I have in a long time (40-50 in two hours) and they were all FAT. Looked healthy and saw many bucks without headgear, one I figure was 300-350lbs. My camera battery took a crap on me, but I will try to post the few pics I was able to get. We were very careful not to start them and did not cause any to run, or leave the area. There will be minimal mortality this winter and should be another good season come Fall -if it's not too dry....
