Wild West Weekend

I had a time last week watching my son and his friends perform at our neighbor's Wild West Show.

The show kicked off with a salute to our flag..

Watching the youngsters compete in the hide racing event was all fun...

My son won the balloon shoot and some racing events riding a retired racing Thoroughbred.

That horse is still smooth as silk, in it's prime it won over 300 grand in prize money...

My wife supplies vintage wardrobe accessories at these events and I must say, they do look mighty fine...

My buddy Butch drives a pretty mean stage as well...

Oh to be a teenager again, these lil gals are going to break a million hearts, no wonder my kid spends so much time over there..

And away they go....

The BBQ and refreshments lasted long into the night leaving a few cob webs the next morning, but what a great day.

All these Perty little Western Belles are a Country Boys Dream!
They ain't got Wings or MM Halo's but they sure look good to me!

I'm not sure why HH but your first few pictures show up really good. But all the pic?s after your wife didn't show up for me.

I get a red X instead. However what I am able to see are pretty cool. I like the way you put it all together and it looks like a great time had by all too. That's one nice lookin horse your son is on. Thanks for sharing!

This morning is opening day af archery deer season here.
He had all his gear ready and stayed in bed instead, said he was too tired to hunt.

I thinks there's a clue right there....;-)
