This past Saturday we had set up on a water hole with tons of sign hoping some javelina would come in. We had barely got set up and two came running in to water. I made a 28 yard shot with my bow and got mine. The following day we went back to the same water hole hoping a few would come in for the wife to have a chance at. We had been there for about 45 minutes relaxing in the sun (it was about 35-40 degrees) and she even got a few Zzz's in. About the time she woke up I caught movement to my right. It was a group of 8-9 javelina coming in to water. The lead pig (javi) came in first at about 30 yds., then walked right over in front of us at 10 yds. She had to move VERY slow and deliberate to get her bow pulled back, which she did, and made an absolutely perfect shot. I think my heart was pounding harder than hers but she did a great job of keeping cool. This is her first critter taken with a bow and I am sooo proud of her!
