I have been reading all this stuff about the Island shed hunt and I do not understand why you would want to go out there with 300 other people. Whats so nice about shed hunting is you dont see a lot of people and you dont have to worry about getting shot (except if you have a out of state plate in Wyoming just joking.) Basin Boy

Thats easy. Its a cool place to hike and see some country you normally dont get to experience. Its also a big island and I never had another shed hunter within 400 yards of me except for the guy who came to show me his shed. And you see some critters, hear chuckars all day long. Listen to the coyotes yelping, And an occasionally scream of excitement when someone gets luck. It was pretty cool. Ya, a bit different from the lonely quiet hills of WY, but still fun.

Yelum. I agree its a cool place I took my kids out there last year and walked around the old ranch I have also taken my horses out there one time and road some of the trails it was in the summer. Never saw any sheds but stayed on the main trail. I would like to go ride it in the spring before the end of may when its all Green and the bugs are not to bad yet. I am not from Wyoming. I am from Vernal Utah but live in Salt Lake at this time. Basin Boy
