Why I just used the "F" word!

While replying to AyA's post, the phone rang and I was informed that a friend of mine, our local postmaster, was killed this morning, when he hit a Tule elk while riding his motorcycle.

"Holy F#&*", that ain't good!!!.

This guy was a dedicated hunter, sportsman and all around good guy.

I know it isn't humorous at all, but given all the critters Phil has bagged, even he is probably up there laughing at going out from an incident with a game animal.

I'll give more details when I get them.

Nickman, My condolences!

He may have had killing a Tule Elk on the end of his bucket list!

"Why I just used the "F" word!" I mentioned in another thread that my friend and personal mechanic got hit in town here on his Harley by drunk driving Mother with kids in the car after running a stop sign. After 7 surgeries to try to get circulation, they took his leg off yesterday, above the knee. F**k!!!

Very strange accident.

The Coroner and the Highway Patrol estimated collision speed at 100 to 110 MPH.

My friend hit the cow elk head to head and the bike never made contact with the elk, not only that, but it didn't leave the road or tip over for 600'.

The elk died on the spot. Broken neck and severe skull trauma.

The Coroner suspects a broken neck along with an extensively crushed skull....and helmut.

Bad deal all around. "Life is short, shorter for some than others"
