Lotta work for scrap. Based on my recent observation of a trail crew, the Circus is just pizzed because it would have taken a crew of 30 all summer to get it out if they did it.

Back in the seventies there was some pretty cool old log cabins in certain places up in the uintas some of them were really old and the fs came in and burned them down.. So why should they care if a bunch of scrap metal got hauled off

After WW II, a guy local to the SLV in southern CO, came home and started farming.

At first, all he had to pull a plow was a halftrack one similar to the one he drove during his Army time.

After things got better and he had more equipment, he made a dirt/gravel pad for it and left it up there, sorta like a trophy, at the entrance to his farm.

Good dude, well liked amongst local farmers.

If they get it back, are they really going to go place it back? It’s not like it truly belonged there, it was just a broken down vehicle. Happened to just be too heavy to easily move all those years.
