I thought Roy was the only one who went out of his way to run over turtles.

I know elkassassin goes out of his way to hit parrots.

College student's turtle project takes dark twist

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) ? Clemson University student Nathan Weaver set out to determine how to help turtles cross the road. He ended up getting a glimpse into the dark souls of some humans.

Weaver put a realistic rubber turtle in the middle of a lane on a busy road near campus. Then he got out of the way and watched over the next hour as seven drivers swerved and deliberately ran over the animal. Several more apparently tried to hit it but missed.

I've never seen an orange turtle before. Is that what he put in the road? If it is I don't think people were trying to run over a real turtle. Who knows what that looked like to the drivers.

Don't you mean go out of my way to rescue turtles! Turdles however, I run them over left and right. But only when I drive a rental car. Hate cleaning that stuff off my own tires.
