Can you retrieve or is this poaching. It seems i have heard the story both ways. Clarification would be nice. Sorry about the bad post on this new phone cant proof read.i

Best thing you can do is call the F&G agency where the animal is and ask for permission to recover the animal.

If is is on a southern border with Mexico, just climb the fence and go after it. If you see some nice young men in trucks with guns, wave your hands and shoot your rifle into the air to get their attention. They will be there to assist you shortly. Unfortunately, most other borders F&G are not as proactive in helping sportsmen.
