whitetail shedding??

A buddy of mine said that the whitetail are starting to shed in Northern Wyoming. Don't know if it's true, so I'll go check it out for myself this weekend.

The earliest I have ever found a whitetail antler is Dec 18. Last year I found one on the 20th. I have found hundreds of whitetail antlers in SE MT and those are the only ones before Christmass. Most whitetails won't shed until the middle of Jan and some will hold there antlers untill April. If you go I would use Binos to find were the bucks are at for shed hunting in Feb or March.

Seems a little early but not by much... I used to find a few over christmas break, but the eariest I ever found one was about the 22nd or so. like others have said, let them be. In another month or so you can scope up a bunch.
