I heard the using a white flag while hunting antelope will attract them? Does it work? I drew an antelope tag here in Oregon after 9yrs of putting in for one. Thx for the help!

The flag works! I've never had them come to the flag, but it will stop them. I just use a white rag.

I dont't know about a flag, but I watched a friend call a buck in with his cowboy hat. He would lure it in shot and miss the
Antelope would run off a little and come back. I watched through binos until I almost wet my pants. It wasn't a very big buck, but the way he got it made it a unique trophy.

I have to tell this story. Three years ago I had an AZ antelope tag. I had heard about their curiosity and wanted to try it out sometime on one of my scouting trips. I had watched a couple of bucks for awhile and went on scouting. About an hour later I was driving back out and saw the same two bucks about 350 yards out. I left my truck parked in plain sight and walked out 50 yards to a couple of small (4 feet high) mesquite trees. I crouched down behind them took off my hat and waved it in the air. The bucks started walking towards me. They came in about 100 yards and stopped. I waved my hat again. They started walking towards me again. They came in another 100 yards and stopped. I waved my hat a third time. They started walking towards me again. They came right in on me. They got to within 15 yards and milled around for a couple of minutes before taking off. I have heard of people tieing white cloth to a tree to blow in the wind to attract them. My buddy saw a show on tv where the hunter missed a buck and the guide waved a white flag in the air. Not only did the buck stop running away but he came back towards them, into range and the hunter shot him. Just some fun info on your post. CB

I think it against the geneva convention to shoot after waving a surrender flag. Don't let the UN catch you.
