any one use of these? i really like to walk with an arrow knocked at it seems like a good way to hold your arrow. i have heard they rip off fletchings, but i fletch my own and i think i could prevent that from happening.

I wouldn't advise walking around with an arrow nocked but the WB is a good hunting rest. You will here people say a lot of crap about them but they work fine for hunting. I shoot 2" blazers through mine and have never lost a fletch.

If I were you I would look at some of the other full capture rest that are available. NAP has a rest that is full capture but has slots that allow the arrow to pass without touching the vains. I know there are others that are similar but I can't remember the names. I personally use a drop away and if I want to walk with an arrow nocked, I put my finger over the top of the arrow on the shelf... pretty simple.

I use the WB w/blazer vanes and have no problem at all.
I can nock a arrow and chase that bull in the timber and not worry about the arrow falling off. I have tried the top fall away rests and have gone back to the WB.

I have used it 2 years and love it. It is quiet and secure. Had some icing, but it comes off easy. Could also use some type of dressing (dry fly?) to help prevent. Even my beard was frozen

just wandering why wouldnt you advise walking with an arrow knocked? do you wait till you are 50 yards when seaking to knock an arrow? the buck i shot last year i would have never got if i didnt knock an arrow when i first seen him. i usually do put my finger over my arrow but sometimes my arrow falls off and makes a noise.

the bisquit is a great hunting rest with simplicity that never fails. I use blazers glued with super gel and never have a problem.

i have never shot one but my problem with them is, how could you ever get a consistant shot when the arrow comes off the rest a little different everytime? and to some a little might not be a big deal but when i am shooting 80 yards i want my arrow leaving the rest the exact same way everytime!

Man, I thought the same thing...and even preached it......until I was prvoen otherwise at a shop that tested them in controlled environments. The hole (paper) made from the WB was just as perfect as the other rests tested (fall-aways, etc.) at several distances. However, they did find that Blazer vanes were much more efficient (wear) than any others shooting throught the bristles.

I used to tell folks that the only good bisquit was with gravy......not anymore. They seem to work at ALL distances very well.

Got one for my wife when she started archery hunting... she had trouble drawing and the arrow falling off the rest. Rather than see her get frustrated early on, I bought a biscuit and it solved a ton of problems. You need to spend a little time making sure your knock point on the string is centered and then adjust the biscuit to where its perfectly inline with the arrow square to the string. With some fine tuning the arrows go through very accurately.

Vanes do wear more than normal, I'd bet blazer's hold up well but normal vanes even with the wear stand up to alot of shots.

well thanks for all the info fellas i shoot blazer vanes so i guess the whisker biscuit is what i will get next week thanks again

I know a ton of people that love them, I don't use it myself. I would only have one concern, my hunting partner had his ice up terribly when it was snowing at low temps, that would concern me. I think they sell some de-icer made specifically for the bisquit?

I switched from a wb to a trophy taker about a year ago because I heard that fall away rests can really improve accuracy. From my experience I can't tell there is any noticably difference in accuracy, though my bow is definitly for hunting and not conpetively shooting. The wb is easier hunting with an arrow nocked but after awhile it becomes second nature to hold your arrow with your top finger while using a fall away rest.

They need to rename it. I only want to shoot through one wisker biscuit, and long range is not an issue.

For hunting--the biscuit is tuff to beat and simple to tune! I went away from the biscuit the last two years and now I'm back. I still use fall-aways and launcher style rests for 3D and spots because they are more accurate (hence the reason you never see a biscuit on a target bow). But for hunting, where you don't neccessarily need pin point accuracy, the biscuit works great!

The biscuit allows you to have an arrow on the string also without holding the bow (such as in a blind), to crawl with an arrow on the string (impossible with your finger over the arrow), I am sold on it.

Maybe this was mentioned but I wouldn't use it do to all those contact points on your arrow immediatley at flight, bad for accuracy?
I like my fall-away rest. It has a little rubber "snap-saddle" that the arrow sits in while knocked yeah it can be bumped out but arrow stays in place no matter what angle bow is at.

I have two children 6 and 9 they have both been shooting since they were 3. They both started shooting a Whisker Biscuit when they were 4 so they have been shooting that rest a long time. I personally never shot this rest mysef. We have never had a problem with this rest and I would recommend it as far as durability and reliability.

Good luck

Switched to a whisker from a TR Dropzone about a month ago. Just got a case of tinkeritis. Really like it so far. Just about as simple as it gets. Im not sure you dont get more accuracy from the rest guiding the arrow longer than a drop away. No ill effects on my 4 inch duravanes so far.

When I bow hunt I use one and I love it. When you do a stalk or just stand it is priceless!!

I shot the WB for about 3 years it was ok out to about 25 yards then my groups would start getting wide. I changed to the QAD full containment fall away rest and have never shot better. I am not knocking the WB but to me the fall away rest was a huge improvement. I know arrow rest aren't cheap but I would strongly recommend trying a WB and a rest like the QAD or the Rip Cord they are full containment type rest but also they fall away as the arrow fletching passes the rest. Good luck.
