Which sight do you use?

What sight do you use currently and what would you recommend?

I currently have a pse f-22 sight that has the level on it, I had it for 2 weeks when I noticed the liquid gone from the level and there was condensation inside the tube. I am now trying to decide what to go with for a new sight, there are some other things I don't like about the f-22.
I was leaning towards a copper john but not after reading the other post. I wanted to stay under about $85-90.

I currently use a Spott Hog "bare bones", about $60, but I plan on up grading this year to a "real deal" $90 or a "right on" about $110

I currently use the 5 pin Copper John sight and love it. I have had no problems at all. Owned it for a year now.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-24-05 AT 09:41PM (MST)[p]I use a Spott Hogg sdp. It costs a little more but well worth it! I have the 7 pins set up from 30-90 yards. It is a sweet set-up. Very durable, easy to see pins, nicro adjustable, all around rock solid. Last year I slipped on the ice while returning from my treestand and landed with all my weight (all 280 lbs of it) on my Spott Hogg. The sight held up and was still dead on. I did, however, tear the crap out of my quiver. It is one rugged, depenadle sight.

My primary hunting bow has a Cobra Sidewinder....back-up bow has a Spott Hogg. Both have performed well.

I use a Dusk Devil II sight and love it. It has micro dot pins and it has unbreakable fiber optics on the pins plus micro adjustments and best of all lifetime warranty even if it's your fault. Nice and compact too.

I use a spot hogg sight. It's the hogg it model. Way overkill for what I do. Sure is a nice sight though. I've been using it for 3 years now with no complaints.

Copper John dead nuts pro. I fell down last Sep and I was holding my bow by the string. When I fell, the bow landed directly on the sight with all my weight on it. All that happened to the sight was a few scratches and it loosened the allen heads. I tightend them back up and its working perfectly. I'll never buy anything but Copper John now.

I have Montana Black Golds , they are pretty nice too , but have plans on the spott hogs . ...NM

I use eyesight with the aid of prescription glasses.

Just kidding. While it's true that there are no sights on my bow, there are certainly times when it shows.

I use a trueglow sight. Has a sight light on it wich is good for lowlight conditions. It doesnt scare game either. Its a 4 pin.

I am using a Trophy Ridge on my hunting bow and Copper John Deadnuts Pro III on 3d bow.

I constantly hear all the hipe about the SpotHog sights. They are unbelievalby durable in most areas, but look close before you buy. (Top $ doesn't always mean top performance)

The fiber optics are exposed on the back side and can easily be broken in brush. (Experienced this on a few hunts)

I personally did not like the pin adjustment, I like everything to be symetrical, the Spothog pins are adjusted by tipping them up or down.

I sold my Spothog and now use a CopperJohn, it is not the easiest for fine adjustment, but once set it has been great.

I am not meaning to badmouth the Spothog, I know many people that love them, I'm just trying to say you should look them over closely before you buy. All equipment has its pro's and con's.

I'll put in another plug for the Montana Black Gold sights.

I have Dusk Devil on my back up. I've had their new, to be released FlashPoint Photochromatic site on my main hunting bow all season. It's simalar to the SkyLight from this year, but has photochromatic covers for the fiber spools so that the pins don't glare in the bright sun light.

The FlashPoint will be the ultimate sight for a one rig sort of person. If you like to do it all with one bow this one will work exeptionally in all conditions.

Cheers,
Pete
