Congrats ElGringo!! Hope the rutting action was good for you. Some years they really get going and the action is unreal
The Bull to Cow ratio is pretty unreal, but it was just a bit early for them to really get going. They bugled decently, but they weren’t aggressive yet. Got lucky and called that one off of his 3 cows that he was pushing. I almost let him go……

There is no stinkin way I would be passing that bull with a bow, even in my home state with a premium tag. Well done Gringo!!

Hello El Gringo,
Congrats on a fine bull. Looks like you were able to get it done under challenging conditions. We also had lots of bugling going on (especially before the season opened!) but the bulls were very "cautious" about coming to the calls. I passed on a spike & then a raghorn during the first week & finally, last Saturday, was able to get close enough to a bull that he turned & came into the calls, , , , and then I straight up blew the shot! :cry:o_O
Anyway, well done Amigo on a fine bull! ;)

Thanks! Sorry for the missed opportunity. Bow hunting sucks, until it doesn’t!
