When should i start looking?

Ive been watching the same few herds of elk, which all together equal about 450, at the same locations for the last few weeks. I dont think anyone else is watching them, because there is hardly any traffic on the closest road. So far, ive seen 5 bulls, a 6 point, and 4 spikes. I was wondering when should i start to look for sheds? I havent gotten close enough to scare them yet, and was wondering when i should start looking? Anyone have any ideas?

i think i'd probably start when i see about 451 cows and 4 spikes....

The big bulls are usually not with the cows. They form there own groups, locate then, and you have it made. Here they start dropping at the end of march/last week. But thats here in wyoming. Good luck

For that matter...I've seen MATURE bulls packing as late as May 10th one year (3 bulls,6 horns)....I usually get the elk bug about April 1st.
