i bought a new bow a bowtech allegence and found its not the right one for me i need something with a smoother draw and comfortable to shoot with fingers.
i backed the bow down to 60 lb. and still feel uncomfortable drawing it. i shot a wheeled bow for 20 yrs set at 68 lb.s
i have lost 4 arrows during the draw out of maybe 70 shots i have taken with this bow. now i'm getting head shy.
i'm going to miss my ben pearson she was so sweet.
anyone out there got any suggestions on the most comfortable draw for finger shooters?

Scroll down a few threads and look at the "I need a finger bow" thread. Some good info there for you. Good luck.

As far as what is out on the market now, I'd say Chuck Adams Reflex Caribou with slam and a half cams, approx 45" axle to axle and a type of energy cam, and 1/2 " deflex riser is probably the best finger bow out there. Previously, I'd say one of the long(44") Hoyt bows from the late 90's ie...Hoyt Oasis with 0.7 " deflex riser was the best. Very forgiving but fast enough to flatten trajectory and very reliable............Mike

I shoot an '05 hoyt protec with the long limbs. 45" axle to axle. Great bow. A little on the heavy side, and for some reason not quite as fast as the shorter limb protecs. But all in all good bow.
