What will he score

LAST EDITED ON Dec-27-10 AT 11:23PM (MST)[p]I killed this elk a few weeks ago in NM. He is my first bull. He will be officially scored by the taxidermist after the drying period. What do you experts think he will score. I've received guesses from friends that all all over the place.

I appreciate the responses. One friend, a fairly accomplished elk hunter, guessed 350, while my initial guess was 280.

I won't have the official score (done by a B&C master measurer) for at least 6 weeks. When I get it, I'll post the results.

You are exacty right, no matter what score he is a beatiful bull. But I am guessing he has at least 300" of bone, and closer to 320 than 300. Congrats on a very nice bull!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-10 AT 09:17AM (MST)[p]I would say 300 based on the long fronts. I have a 330 bull, 270 bull and 260 bull in front of me and a picture of my Dad's 310 bull. Looking at the pictures you provided, which are always a little hard to judge, he is bigger than my smaller bulls, but looks smaller than my 330 bull. Pretty darn close to the 310 bull though.
