Fish Lake national forest seven mile road. Elevation guess would be around 8900 feet. I new there would be snow along the creek. But when I got into the meadow I came accross some 7 foot drifts and snow everywhere.

Was thinking the same thing WB when I saw that pic. Still a ton of snow up there, guess that explains why not many elk have moved up through the basin yet.
