Weaver Grand Slam

anyone have or had any experiences with the Weaver Grand Slam rifle scopes looking at the GS 6-20x40 with the ballistic plex I have had a few people tell me to get the Vortec Viper because they are about the same price

I have had the GS 3.5x10x50 on my 7mm for years, been a good scope for me and I own the one you are looking at but I am not sure which gun I have it on.
