Wasatch Front

13 days and counting! It seems like every year I see more and more people up there. Not to mention people setting up camp right on the most used pass in the whole canyon. I've done a lot of scouting and tree cam snapping and have some nice bucks on film, but I'm not sure I even want to waste my time hiking up there opening weekend. I love the front and the bucks up there so I cant refuse on going anywhere else. Who from MM is going to pack up with the rest of Salt lake county and head up?

Overcrowding was definitely a problem last year. The State is a big one... more than one bachelor group in the hills... perhaps we can all choose to either start scouting other areas... What do we, you, or I expect. The WF has approximately 2 million people that live right below.... I'm surprised their is not more, honestly.

Obviously your play the others into your favor... learn where the escape routes are and let the other hunters push them into you.

Good Luck... be sure and post your photos or trail cams...

Midnight.

I would be there if I didn't have a couple of antelope to kill on the dutton. I will be thinking about it every day. I love being up there. I hope It will only be a week before I can get up there and chase my buck.

Since I won't be here opening weekend, I obviously won't be out there. I probably wouldn't go then anyway. Wait a little bit and go during the week, that's my plan. We can't forget how long the season on the front is.

I seen a lot of different bucks up there, but nothing HUGE. I have a cool pic of a 22-24 3x4 buck I'll try and post tonight.

Never been up there on the opener but I have heard it is a zoo. I will probably let some of the "first weekenders" do there thing and hit it mid week.

Good luck everyone
