Im currently looking for photos to be displayed in a upcoming calendar for the 2006 season, titled Wasatch Front Muleys. The photos should be from the field, and shot off Utahs general, and extended Wasatch Front Archery hunts.Again this calendar is titled Wasatch Front Muleys, so deer must be shot off the Wasatch Front.Pictures can go back as far as 1993 when they first introduced the extended Wasatch Front hunt. This will be a high quality calendar so those with digital camera photos, make sure the resolution is high enough so when I enlarge the photo it does not become pixilated, or distorted. If you are interested in submitting photos, you can contact me by e-mail. Thanks

I have a great picture of a Buck From 04' The buck scores 165 and is a 5x4 but he look's bigger. The antlers are skylined and it was snowing at the time. I will e-mail you a picture tomorrow from work. Then you can reply if you want the picture or not.

Dustin,

You ought to talk to the guy's down at Sportsmans archery. They have a picture board with quite a few bucks off of the wasatch. Ask for Gerald. I am sure there would be some you could use if you got permission from the individual hunters.

I did just that, and the response i got was;I would'nt do that because the secret of the Wasatch will be out.In fact 2004 General Archery tags sold out, so assuming majority of those people, along with myself bought that permit with the intent, if no luck on the General season i can still hunt the late season on the Wasatch. The word has been since 93" for the late season, so there is no secret, or no one that has'nt heard about this great hunt. The intent of this calendar is not to let the cat out of the bag about the Wasatch Front, but show it does not take a premium deer tag to kill a quality buck, just a little hard hiking right here in our backyard, also show off some nice bucks that we all like to see.

This topic is very closely related to paying cards.

"Show me your cards, but don't ask to see mine."

My hunch is the bigger the buck the lesser the likelyhood we will see him on your calender...

For the record, I would pay to buy one. I read and pay for all the magazines, and videos. I just can't get enough.

I would pay to just have scenic bowhunting photos captured in the calender.

a while back they had a late season muzzle loader tag for the wasatch front and my uncle got a tag he ended up shooting a buck that scored 214 typical its in the record book so i will see about getting a picture

there are still little seceret honey holes on the wasatch front me knowing one of them i have missed some of the biggest deer of my life we had a long shot last year at a buck that would have went at least 220 and missed so i guess you could say there are still some seceret spots on the wasatch front

Thanks to all of those people who gave up photos. I do understand how some might think im letting the word out, but it still takes a great deal of skill and luck to wack one of these great bucks. I hope this hunt never gets taken away from us, but we need to follow the rules a little closer or it may be gone for good. I will have an online store to purchase the calendar and other items as well. The calendar will be done by August.

Thanks,

The state record for typical is 212+ so your uncles would have to have been a gross score. Sounds like a nice buck though. Love to see it.
