Wac-em gets my vote. They are simiply amazing, the are very durable and fly just like my field tips didn't even have to adjust anything. Have seen many animals fall to the Wac-em. I also have never tried the shuttle t-lock so I can't really say much about them.
I've used both and seen the wound channels from both, shuttles wound channels are amazing, both fly the same out of mine and my hunting partners bow but I'm sold on shuttles !
the G5 strikers are basically the same as the wac 'em, but the strikers have a higher grade of steel. for the same price, but higher quality; shoot the strikers.
Actually the Strikers do not have a higher grade steel.....it's body is forged (compressed) which can weaken it's overall tensil strenght compared to machined steel.
I do agree though it's basically the same head copied by G5, so both should perform well. The Wac'ems also offer the XL (larger diameter) and the Exit (4-blade).
In the last Eastmans Bowhunting Journal they compared about 12-15 heads . I don't remember what was reported on the wac-em but the Shuttle Tlocks got great reviews as far as durabilty and wound channel. I believe they flew spot on at 40 yards as well. I'm actaully looking into a new head and am considering the T lock too.
ALL the heads mentioned are quality heads that you can't go wrong with, IMO. Wac'em, Shuttles, Montecs, Muzzy's, Innerloc, ST's, etc., are all good and will perform well on all big game animals.
Thanks, that was a fun hunt....The year my hunting partner's son arrowed his first buck was the year before (05). Nice first buck too, made P&Y....he's spoiled now.
I am with Sliver. This year I am going with the Strikers but I have nothing but good to say so far on all of th G5 heads.....

Im wanting to change from my mechanicals to wac-em's. I want the security of less moving parts and I simply feel they are more trustworthy. I know the cutting diameter is much smaller but I want to find out from you guys how big of a deal is the smaller diameter? WOuld like to hear your input...
Thanks
Go into the field with a clear mind and no inhabitions. You'll see first hand how well they perform and that will be proof enough of their quality. Neither you or the animal will notice the difference in diameter. You execute the shot and either of those broadheads will just plain do the job.
the teakan is the way to go mech, but if you want the best fixed head there is no way you can not like the montec from g5 take it out of the package and that is it tuff head, shoot it 10 time resharpen it and go again they come in three packs but you should just need one they are that cool
