Hey, I'm new to bowhunting!! This will be my third year hunting elk. No kill's yet. I have heard that two blade head out penetrate 3 and that 3 out do 4. Is this really true? I was also wondering how durable two blades were? I hunt elk in some of the worst conditions on the planet, SW WASHINGTON!!! I beleive that two holes are better than one. I want blood!!! What's your take

LAST EDITED ON Apr-11-06 AT 04:44PM (MST)[p]It really depends on what your set up is. If you are pushing enough KE than you can use a pretty large diameter, or multiple cutting head. If you are on the low end of the KE scale than you would want as much penetration as possible, 2 blade being the best. Less penetration from 3 to 4 blade, but is a mute point if you have 100lbs KE. :)
