Just checking to see what everyones thought are on these 2 scopes. Looking at VXIII 4.5-14 or 2.5-16 6500 elite.
I know Luepold has a custom shop if I want to go with custom Turrets. I don't know if Bushnell has the same.

I just had to make this exact same decision. I went with the Elite. 30mm tube in a 50mm scope is gonna put thru more light everytime, and the high end Bushnell glass is right there with the VXIII's and above the Zeiss Conquest from the info I gathered from some very well known gunsmiths in Western Canada.

tube size has nothing to do with light gathering... both are 50mm obj!

I've personally had some issues with the vx III 4.5x14 b&c reticle.....and I know a few more that have also. I had mine mounted on a 300 ultra without a muzzle break and I suspect the 500 rounds may have jolted something loose. Just my experience.

The light still has to go thru the tube to get your eye right Trev. How it was explained to me is to think of light as being water. A bigger cylinder of the same length will let more water thru.
