I am looking at getting a spotting scope, and think I have decided on the Vortex. But not sure which one, I have heard a lot of good stuff about the Skyline ED, and I want something with that kind of clarity and light. But I also want to be able to pack it, is it so big that it would be a pain to do so, and I should look at the Nomad or Impact?

I would look at the Nomad if you're looking for a scope that is small and packable. The Skyline ED is a great scope, but in my opinion it's too big to pack around all day. I just got a Nomad tonight and used the digiscoping adapter and took this picture. I'm not a photograper, but I think it turned out okay....especially since it was right before dark and it was my first picture through the scope from about 40 yards away.
