vortex talon binos

just wanted to know if anyone has used the vortex talons before? I was told they are from the vortex birding series but very similar to the diamondbacks?

I bought some for my stepson for christmas. When I looked through them they looked great for the price. Doug at cameraland said they are the exact same as the diamondbacks. they were on a clear out for about 130 great glass for the money.

My understanding is these are the same as the Diamondbacks. The stokes line is marketed to the "birding" crowd whereas the Vortex line is for us hunters.

That was a great deal at $130 by the way.

They are the same as the original Diamondback. They just say Talon. They will not carry forward as a product line. The new Diamondback is supposed to have improved coatings and some 7% greater light transmission. You should see some pretty good bargains on them as well as the original Diamondbacks.
