Vortex spotting scopes

I am planning on doing some backpack mule deer hunts this next season, and want to buy a spotting scope. I am torn between the Skyline and the Nomad. I know the Nomad is lighter, but the Skyline has 80mm for better low light glassing. How is the clarity difference between the two? Which one would you recommend?

Nic,
I haven't compared those 2 spotters but I'm fairly sure the 80mm would be better for low light. That being said I have compared the Nomad to my Leupold Gold Ring 12-40 x 60 and I am very impressed. The Nomad is 1.5 lbs lighter than the 80 skyline and if you're backpacking that's the route I'd go (its the route I went as I purchased the Nomad last month).

I have both the Skyline and the Nomad
there is quite a difference in low light
between the two but both of them have
there own purpose.
If I am not packing a gun I pack the
Skyline, if I have a gun I pack the
Nomad.

For the money I dont think you can
beat them. Just my opinion.
