Camera land has the diamondback 4-12 x40 for under $200. The viper 4-12x40 is just under $400. I'm looking for a new scope and would like to spend as little as possible, but i'm sick of having crappy optics. $200 is cheap for a scope, is the scope cheap? How do they compare to The Leupold's? Any info would be great.
Thanks

DEER_Dog,

I just put a Diamondback 4-12X40 on our new rifle. The optical quality is sharp and for the price a great value. The one thing that I didn't love was the feel of the turrets as I was dialing in the scope they didn't feel as tight as I would've liked them. That being said, they were however easy to use and within a couple of shots I was able to zero the rifle. So far (20 shots) it has maintained the zero and time will tell on the durability. But with a lifetime warranty, you can't lose.

If you can afford the Viper, I would recomend that one as it has the ED glass.

Before you buy it, If you live in Utah and want to see it, send me a PM.

Thanks CS
