Vortex Kaibabs

Well I just got back from putting some Kaibabs on lay away. I'm tired of the lower end optics and hope that these will be good. You never know until you get them out in the field.

What would be a good tripod? I plan on carrying the Kaibabs in the Horn Hunter Bino Hub and then packing the tripod. I'm not very familiar with tripods and heads, etc. what do you guys use?

If you can afford one buy a Gitzo. They are awesome.

I have the Kaibabs and I love them. I have two tripods and I like both of them. I have a Manfrotto and it is awesome. It is heavy so I have an outdoorsman I use when I have to pack anywhere. Good luck you will be very happy with the Vortex.

For a nice compact and stable(sitting tripod) I really like the Sprint PRO-EZ with pan head. It's $105.00 from B&H photo.

I use this with my Swaro 65mm spotter and it's plenty stable. The tripod weighs 2.82# and colapses to 19.1"
