Vortex Impact - Worth it?

Just have 10x42 nikon monarchs and looking to get something with some power to back them up for my AZ archery bull tag and my boys desert rifle muley tag. Financially, size and weight wise this is a no brainer for me compared to other options like the skyline ed (what I really want). For a quick fix to my glassing needs is this a good choice or should I just wait for the bigger, better glass in the $700-$800 range?

I have never lookeed through the impact but I own the Nomad. For a long time I wanted the impact until I looked through the Nomad and I saw how small physically the Nomad is. Once I observed that I was sold and since then I pack it and abuse it. It still has a clear image and has led me to a lot of antlers,deer,bedded down moose, and elk.

The Nomad is much better. The Impact will work out ok if you can't afford something better but I would definitely try to upgrade as soon as I could. fatrooster.
