Drew a Vernon Muzzel tag, and was wondering if anyone had any experience out there that that would be willing to share, some good spots to start scouting would be much appreciated
Thanks for the tip! I’ll be sure to check them out??Harker, Dutch creek, and bennion
100% where I would spend time also. We killed two out of Dutch last year. A solid 180 buck was killed opener of muzzy at the bottom of Dutch in the flats.Harker, Dutch creek, and bennion
Haha I drove right past that 180" buck opening morning at at the bottom of Dutch didn't even see it, I was headed up a little higher to chase one I'd been watching and never seen it so we went up harker and killed a 170" buck on the road in the bottom of harker.100% where I would spend time also. I agree 100% Simpsons just dont have the numbers of deer! We always have had bad luck finding them during the hunt on the simpsons.Very few people hunt the Simpsons and there are a few good ones over there every year.
I also agree. Far less deer, but much more secluded hunt. Might be worth a scout.I agree 100% Simpsons just dont have the numbers of deer! We always have had bad luck finding them during the hunt on the simpsons.
Ha! That’s simply put!
NoWas that on the Simpson ?
I always love to see comments like this ? you really believe that will all the recreational traffic that unit sees daily, deer are getting poached out there are a rate like that? Really?Saw the biggest buck I've ever seen on the hoof out there. Course that was 15 years ago. Vernon unit gets the crap poached out of it. Used to be some giants out there
I was once a heavily poached area. Not so much anymore. It was hurt a lot by poachers back then and it has its affects on the deer to this daySaw the biggest buck I've ever seen on the hoof out there. Course that was 15 years ago. I found 6 deer with their heads cut off in 2 days gathering cows. I have a set of sheds off what would have been the new state record had it not been killed illigally. Ya I know it gets poached bad. It's not a guessI always love to see comments like this ? you really believe that will all the recreational traffic that unit sees daily, deer are getting poached out there are a rate like that? Maybe the cattle pushers are shooting them? They sure do love to complain about the deer eating their feed for the cattle. Less competition = more feed for cows. Big bucks do eat more than little bucks ?I found 6 deer with their heads cut off in 2 days gathering cows. $&%#+=€£!!!!! No logic there. Why would a livestock producer cut the heads off.Maybe the cattle pushers are shooting them? They sure do love to complain about the deer eating their feed for the cattle. Less competition = more feed for cows. Big bucks do eat more than little bucks ?
Well maybe you're right but I know they don't hate the money they get for them tags. And the pushers don't get it the cowboys don't get it just the landownerMaybe the cattle pushers are shooting them? They sure do love to complain about the deer eating their feed for the cattle. I know for me personally all the landowners I didn't know out there they don't mind seeing big bucksWell maybe you're right but I know they don't hate the money they get for them tags. And the pushers don't get it the cowboys don't get it just the landowner
