I'm not going to try and convince you of what to do, or expect you to justify your medical decisions. How about you extend the same courtesy of personal freedom to others? So?
You're Taking Un-Proven Vaccines without knowing anything on the Outcome?
Ya See all these New Vaccines/Medicines Come Out & 3-6 Months Down the Road the Law Suits Start & Alot of them are Yanked off the Market!

I’d rather trust my immune system and its 99.8% survival rate, than be a test lab rat.
Moderna for me. Sore are on the first shot and flu-like symptoms for a day and a half on the second.
I second that!!!Right on booty!
Now that's funny.
Want to know why people wear masks alone in the cars?I'm just gonna wear three masks. If you get the vaccine can you reduce your masks to only two? Do you still have to wear your masks while driving alone in your car if you've been vaccinated?
Relax, you’re more likely to draw an elk tag in Utah than to get sick from the vaccine. So?

In trials, Moderna reported Bells Palsy in .0099% of participations. Pfizer reported Bells Palsy in .0091% of participants. All but two of those cases were greater than 21 days post-injection. The odds of an American getting Bells Palsy in any given year is .01%... so actually slightly greater than those that received a vaccine, though statically insignificant.I doubt the vaccine had anything to do with Bell’s palsy
Just saying

Long story short, the odds of the above individual's Bells Palsy being a side-effect of the vaccine is highly unlikely.
The fact of the matter is that with over a hundred million doses given to Americans in the last 60 days, some of them are going to have naturally-occuring medical events around the same time. Whether they get a shot or not.
?Got the double dose...sore arm and little flu like on second. I have noticed that I have a really strong urge to fall in love with fire hydrants , chase cars, crawl under the bed during thunderstorms and howl at the moon little more than usual.
I don't think anyone should be government mandated to take the vaccine. I can understand if you want to wait a little while to see how everyone else does with the vaccine. At this point we do have solid data that shows the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine. We also have solid data that shows the risk of death from COVID and complications of COVID suffered by survivors.I’d rather trust my immune system and its 99.8% survival rate, than be a test lab rat.
True. She's more afraid of the side affects she hears about than the virus.

There will not be any law suits.. They're all off the hook... https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/16/covid-vaccine-side-effects-compensation-lawsuit.htmlSo?

My bride was also reluctant at first but got her first Moderna shot about a week ago and gets the 2nd in a couple weeks. Nothing more than a bit of a sore arm the next day, and she is a diabetic & has blood pressure problems. She actually got it more to protect me rather than herself since she's basically the only one that comes into the house, and I never leave it.True. You have a good point that many people will not get very sick from COVID.. I know many people that got COVID that didn't get that sick. However, it is worse than the flu for most people. I've seen many people die from COVID and others get severely ill. My wife is in top physical shape and less than 40 years old. She did a full IronMan (2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike followed by 26.2 mile run) and a year later gets COVID and it was the sickest she has ever been. If she had not been in top physical shape it could have killed her.for many, many people that get covid, they barely have signs of a cold, sore throat. You don’t even know you have it. For me, I had a headache for a few days, coldish. If I’ve had it, and built immunity by having it, why would I need a shot to protect me? I’m not anti vax, I just don’t believe that it’s safe when it was rushed and hasn’t been around long enough to see the effects.
I agree at this point we have solid data. 75% of those with severe cases are older, over weight with underlying conditions like heart disease, diabetes, ect. Those that fall into that category probably should. The average age of death from covid is also older, near average life expectancy. The data also shows most younger adults in good health have a very good chance of not having a severe case. Of course there are a few that will have a severe case, die, but that’s very few. I’m not opposed to those who want to get the shot, my dad got his first shot last week. He’s one that probably needs it. It made him sick for a few days, felt better, Then was rushed to the ER with a bad case of pneumonia and is in bad shape. Coincidence? Who knows.... All we can do is what we think is best.
No we don't but we know of long term consequences of people that get severely ill from COVID. Don't trust me or anyone on an Internet forum for medical advice. Ask your doctor or some medical people you trust if you are unsure about getting the vaccine. So?
Anybody know the Long Term Affects of the Vaccine?
Now if that Ain't a Dumb F'N Question!
Thousands & Thousands of Dead Americans & Not One GAWD-DAMNED Thing Done To China!
They Are Showing us People Just a little of what they Could & Can Do to us!
You Think The Current President is Gonna Do anything about it?
Isn't there some anti-China forum you can join so we can have a conversation without you trying to spin everything back to China? So?

Ive got a masters degree in public health and a PhD in physiology.
Im one of those medical people who has chosen not to take the vaccine based on my knowledge of how the vaccine was developed and the relative low risk of c-19.
There are far too many variables to consider with respect to how serious c-19 may (or may not) be with any single person to pose generalized statements that seem to apply to all.
Isn't there some anti-China forum you can join so we can have a conversation without you trying to spin everything back to China?
We know you're not going to get the vaccine. Fine. But other people have chosen to, or are considering it, and would like to discuss the side-effects.
Your resentment is only hurting you... and everybody that has to keep reading about it.
That's fine and I never said they were our friends. But this isn't the forum to rehash that. I'm sure some people would like to stay on topic and not dive into geopolitical superpowers and presidential pi$$ing contests as in post #63.China isn't our friend. They have proved it time and time again. China still indoctrinates its citizens that Mao was a great leader. That would be like Germany in 2021 telling all of its citizens how great Hitler was. There are many great Chinese citizens and Chinese Americans are some of the best people in our great country. China's government is something totally different and is not good for US citizens.
I dont recommend anything; I am (was) a health care scientist, not a healthcare provider.Would you recommend most people shouldn't get the vaccine?
You have had a chance to look at all the data and it is very clear the risk of the vaccine is lower than getting COVID and suffering consequences.
Personally I don't want to be responsible for telling people it is ok not to get the vaccine and then find out a few months latter that person dies from COVID. I agree this vaccine was rushed but the risk is worth the benefit. My hospital has 10% of the COVID patients that it did at its peak a few months ago and I'm optimistic this pandemic is coming to an end. The vaccine that Trump helped create a political environment for rapid development has been a our most effective weapon against COVID.
I'll probably get in trouble from Founder for political talk just like Bess does if I keep it up.That's fine and I never said they were our friends. But this isn't the forum to rehash that.
You have a right to disagree and I don't doubt your intelligence. When something like this is rushed, there are elevated risks. I just don't want to be responsible for telling someone that it is OK not to get the vaccine and then find out they die from COVID a few months later. I've already seen to many people die from COVID.I dont recommend anything; I am (was) a health care scientist, not a healthcare provider.
I disagree with your second paragraph.

Your anger and resentment only hurts you... and everybody that has to keep reading about it. Nobody in China cares.
I only have two people on Ignore and you ain't one of them. I like our little banterings ?? and it's okay that we disagree on things. I think it's pretty clear that I'm all for defending positions and having conversations, but there are two people that I simply don't respect enough to waste my time on.So grizzly?
Now You Don't Think China Should Pay!
Thought You were gonna Put Me on Ignore?
You Don't Have a F'N Clue of what I Might or Might Not do!
You're Right about one F'N Thing!
Nobody in China Cares!
Bessie, I keep getting set back in class. (sigh) I guess I need a tutor.Hey doc?
Is that an MM Masters?
Is that an MM PhD?
Will you or can you tell me the origins of the primary vaccine? As a medical professional, I would love to hear your commentary. And I mean the history of how this vaccine came to us and at what date was it available but not dispersible to humans. As a health care scientist, and not a practitioner, your thoughts would be interesting.Bessie, I keep getting set back in class. (sigh) I guess I need a tutor.
acceptance of what? You don't have to get a vaccine if you don't want one. Your choice. That's called acceptance.
Yes that true on your thought.I got the J&J. I had covid like symptoms for two days afterward and didn’t feel great for about five days.
Two possibilities:
1. I had a reaction to the adenovirus style J&J (It’s not a mRNA vaccine.
2. I got a mild case of Coronavirus about the time I got the vaccine.
I just dont understand why some people get all sweaty mad about people who dont want to get the vaccine. I truly do not give .02 if people get it or not. Do whatever you want.A person should not be shamed into getting a shot and vice versa.
Personally already had covid so I don't need it. If i didnt get covid i would still say no to it. I am young and healthy. Give my shot to someone who needs it.
