Utah's first general season turkey hunt

Just wondering how the hunt is going? I went out last friday morning with no luck. I was set up above a bunch of birds, but they stayed low. I was set up in a blind for archery (no runnin & gunnin). Sure is nice to be in the woods again!

Called in hens but heard no gobbles and saw not one!

Me and my old man went out Thursday afternoon and brought home two birds, I killed a tom and my old man shot a jake. Not bad for a total of three hours in the field.

LAST EDITED ON May-10-10 AT 11:43AM (MST)[p]My wife was succesful, but it was tough. I hope that they don't do this hunt again, there isn't a large enough turkey population to sustain it.
