Checked out my harvest letters on the Utah drawing information website and saw the age of the two animals we sent in teeth for were available. Couldn’t believe how old they were. 13 years old for my brothers bull elk, and 6 years old for my wife’s antelope. It’s crazy to think an elk could live for 13 years on public land through all those hunts.

After reading this I logged in to check the age of my buck from last year, he was aged at 9....

That’s awesome ruger and Tikka. I just checked my bull and he was 13 also (just posted another thread). I knew he was old but kind of blown away he was that old-pretty cool!

Two 13 year old bulls? What are the odds?
It's almost like the DWR is increasing the ages so they can give out more tags.

Was that a limited entry or general season deer? Either was a 9 year old buck is a very old deer.

It was basically a general season unit but it was the late muzzleloader hunt and that requires the use of limited entry points...
