Had a Uintas East tag and drew it on the 9th year. This billy ditched us on the first day (we think, it was him) and we got lucky enough to find him again on the next night. Long shot, far enough that holding on his shoulder, the bullet still hit 5 or 6 feet below the goat (according to my buddies, it took 2 1/2 boxes of bullets, lol). Spotted him at about 5:45. Killed him at around 7:00. We wound up back at the truck at 11:30. Good Unit, lots of goats. Fairly good access. Such a large unit that they are widely scattered though. Tough walking. You want a billy, you're gonna earn it.

Great goat congrats. How much scouting did you do? and how far had they moved, if at all, since scouting and the hunt? I am becoming crazy about goats.
