Utah Mountain Goat Help

My freind and hunting partner just found out that he drew the sportsman tag for mountain goats in Utah. Since we mostly hunt elk and deer, I am writing this hoping for some help on where a good place in Utah is to look. Any help any of you would like to offer would be much appreciated.

Since 2000, there have been 5 goats entered into B&C from Beaver County, 4 from Utah County and 3 from Duchesne County. That should give you a good place to start.

For the biggest goats it's hard to beat the Beaver Mountains. I hunted elk there last year and saw plenty of those licorice- stick headed white fur balls running around!

The best part about Beaver is that you can get your car, and, or ATV close enough to make for a fairly easy hike in. Also, concentrate your efforts in the areas above treeline around Mt Baldy, Delano, and the surrounding peaks.
