Utah Hunting Location

I recently retired from the Air Force and for the next several years Utah will be my home due to employment. I grew up in southeast Idaho and hunted there this year on a non-resident license & tag (ouch!). However, since my children are tending to settle in the northern Utah area, I need to find some hunting locations locally so we can hunt together. I'm not after anyone's "honey hole", but if anyone is willing to share general locations where I should look for deer and elk, I would greatly appreciate it. I generally hunt the archery season, but some of my kids don't so any suggestions on the rifle season sould also be appreciated.
