90% OF ALL PAPER MONEY IS CONTAMINATED WITH COCAINE RESIDUE
Tuesday August 18th, 2009

At some point, one of your idiot friends has probably tried to look smart by throwing out the factoid that nearly all paper money is contaminated with COCAINE RESIDUE. But is your idiot friend right?

Well, if you believe the results of a new study, he actually IS. At least that's according to researchers at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth who found that, overall, 90% of paper money has traces of coke residue on it.

So how did all that money become contaminated? It turns out it's a two-step process:

#1.) Some cokeheads actually use rolled up bills to snort their cocaine, while other bills are contaminated when they're used in drug deals.

#2.) Then the cocaine residue on those bills is spread to other bills when the money is run through currency-counting machines.

Contamination rates are highest in Washington, D.C., with traces of cocaine on 95% of all paper money. And contamination levels are lowest in Utah.

Worldwide, the U.S. and Canada have the highest levels of contaminated money, while China and Japan are the lowest with contamination levels between 12% and 20%. (USA Today)
