I saw there are unlimited tags for the Utah Elk Bow hunt this year. I was looking online but couldn't find any info specifying if that is just for Utah residents or for any state residents. Anyone know or have more info?

I don't believe you can buy a licence after the season already started. You can buy a rifle bull or spike tag.

Thanks. Do you know if it's good for the entire state? or just certain herds or mountains? I'm looking to do hunt on Monroe Mtn in central Ut.

>Archery tags are good statewide.

Careful with that type of statement to an out-of-towner! He'll end up plugging a 6 point on Monroe and getting in trouble!

Monroe is a archery and Muzzleloader spike hunts only. They use to not sell tags after the hunts started. Sorry I guess they may have changed that.

Good point. Assuming you follow the rules of your tag, you can hunt statewide. You should read the field guidebook first and foremost.

Basically there are two kinds of areas, Any Bull or Spike only. Just like the name suggests, your tag is good for a bull or spike, depending on your area.

Also, you can take a cow with your tag anywhere except the Book Cliffs. Remember that you can't hunt private land w/o permission.

Yes, Elkassassin, you can.
Seems like some folks hunt it, and do not even bother buying a tag. We may as well join them! :)

I didn't know that was an option! I like the idea of saving the tag money and hunting a great LE unit every year! cool!

Regulations? What regulations? LOL
