Here are some of the elk antlers I found this past spring. The two sheds in the middle are a set & are pictured again in the 2nd photo. He might go 300 to 310.
None of them are real big. There is a single 6 point from a bull that would have scored in the high 330's to low 340's (far right shed). The heaviest is a 5 point with a devil tine (far left shed).
A month later I found the other side to one of the sheds in the picture. It is just a small 280 class 6x6 bull. The other side was within about 60 yards of the first one.
Isn't it crazy how you can walk so close to sheds and miss them?!! Just ask Yelum about that. He has a story that would drive anyone nuts!!
I am now getting into shed hunting for elk. But I am not a fan of packing them off the mtn. Does anyone have any good ideas for packing elk sheds?
