unti 54 idaho elk?

Has anybody hunted archery elk in unit 54? I hunted deer up there a little last year and I saw a few bulls. I noticed it is over the counter for archery elk. Is it worth the tag? are there many bulls in there?

There are some nice bulls in 54, but I'm not sure where you are seeing that it's over the counter for archery elk? The Owyhee-South Hills Zones are controlled hunts only for elk and they only give 15 tags for archery?

I drew 54 2 years ago and it is a pretty good hunt. There is no over the counter tags for this area. Like said there is 15 tags for archery. I think U might have seen the deer instead. It is a draw hunt for deer for all seasons except for the archery it is over the counter. It is very hard draw odds for all seasons in 54 for elk.
